OUR PHILOSOPHY

Designed for Decades, Cared for by You

We create for the journey. Every Oathbound piece is built to endure, but like all natural materials, handcrafted leather thrives on regular care. Our philosophy is simple: a few minutes of maintenance today ensures your gear remains a legacy for tomorrow. Better care means fewer returns and a lifetime of shared stories.

Bags & Backpacks
  • Empty contents weekly to prevent stretching or sagging.
  • Wipe down with a damp cloth to remove city dust.
  • Condition every 3-4 months to keep the large panels supple.
  • Apply water repellent spray twice a year for outdoor use.
Accessories
  • Avoid overstuffing wallets to prevent permanent deformation.
  • Remove surface oils with a soft, circular cleaning motion.
  • Keep keychains away from prolonged metal-on-leather friction.
  • Condition small items more often (every 2 months) if daily use is high.
Tabletop Gaming Gear
  • Shake out debris from dice bags after the final roll.
  • Wipe tray rolling surfaces with a soft, dry brush to prevent scuffs.
  • Use a heavy wax-based conditioner for thick gaming leather.
  • Store trays flat to maintain the structure of the snap-corners.

Storage 101

The golden rule of leather longevity is prevention. Avoid these common mistakes to keep your gear in prime condition:

  • No Direct Sunlight: Avoid exposure which bleaches and dries the hide.
  • No Plastic Bags: Leather needs to breathe; plastic traps moisture.
  • No Extreme Heat: Never dry wet leather near a radiator.
  • Handle with Care: Avoid stacking heavy objects on dice trays.

Handle your gaming gear and bags with the same respect you'd give an heirloom. Store in a cool, dry place using the cotton dust bags provided with your purchase. For backpacks, stuffing them lightly with paper helps maintain their silhouette.
